The 2008 Agricultural Exhibition will be moved to Jingyue Development Area

The 2008 Agricultural Exhibition of Changchun will be held in the office of the Jingyue Development Area. Yesterday Zhu Yejing, mayor of Changchun , revealed to the journalists that the exhibition will cover an area of 2 million square meters. He said the Agricultural Exhibitions used to be held in the Exhibition Center . But because of the limitation of space, the citizens had to watch plants during their growing period, and once beyond this period, the plant will die. Therefore in order to make a more efficient exhibition, the municipal government of Changchun decided to hold the 2008 Agricultural Exhibition in the Huachun Garden of Jingyue development area. Huachun Garden covers an area of 2 million square meters and the new agricultural exhibition hall will be built in it, and many good plants will be grown. In this way the citizens can watch various plant during the exhibition period and also some other casual time. In addition, the Agricultural Exhibition of next year is still held in the international exhibition hall. But the area will be enlarged, and the planting area will increase to 60,000 square meters.
