Changchun Jingyuetan Skiing Field is located in the south of Jingyuetan scenic spot, which is surrounded by forest in three sides and faces water in one side. The climate in the zone is very comfortable. Gentle slope of mountains, comfortable climate, soft and small-grained snow make the zone an important skiing place in the northeast which is called "A Tourist Skiing Field in the City".
The area of the ski runs in Jingyuetan Skiing Field is 55000m2 . There are 5 high-mountains, off-road and preliminary ski runs. The field has a capacity of 5000 people. The off-road ski run is 1470m long, and the high-mountain one 700m long, where professional ski competition can be held. In addition, there
are 3 preliminary ski runs which are prepared for beginners of ski funs. The average gradient of preliminary ski runs is 9 degree, and beginners can learn and practice there.
Besides, in the field there is a German stainless-steel tubular ski run longest in the world which is 1616m long, individual-circulation, fixed, cable-holding and boson-chair cableway which is 1321m long with the highest speed of 1.2m /s. Tourists love such items as viewing beautiful mountains on the cableway, diving by sideway, skiing, sliding on grass, snow motorcycle and horse racing. In winter, the major sites of Changchun Ice & Snow Tourist Festival and Jingyue Vasaloppet China are all arranged here. During the festival, Jingyuetan Skiing Field is a crystal ice and snow world and a snow sports park.
