Changchun Jingyuetan National Forest Park was firstly founded in 1934. There are rich tourist resources and advantageous ecologic environment. It was approved by State Council to be one of national key scenic spots in 1988, a national forest park by the Ministry of Forest in 1989, a national 4A scenic spot and the national model civilized scenic spot in 2000. the resort has passed ISO9002 national quality management system certification and ISO14001 environmental management system international certification.
Changchun Jingyuetan National Forest Part is located in the southeast of Changchun City , Jilin Province, covering an area of more than 100km 2. The lake water is blue and clear, the forest is luxuriant and the mountains extend lengthwise and sidewise in the park.
Jingyuetan is situated in the transitional area of Changbaishan Mountain foot towards western grassland. The landscape is mountainous and hilly. There is 119 peaks. It stretches for 3 plantages from Changbaishan Mountain , Inner Mongolia to North China . The forest cover rate has exceeded 80%. At the same time, it has rich and various living resources. Fluctuant Mountains stretches into crisscross ranges which surround the moon-like lake. The largest artificial forest in Asia and the ecologic scenery with mountains, water and forest integrated form the scenic scroll of Jingyuetan which varies in seasons.
Jingyuetan National Forest Park is divided into tour zone, resort zone, commercial service zone, ecologic protection zone, etc. In the depth of the forest is developed "forest bathing place". Because the content of negative oxygen ion is 400 times of that of the urban area, it attracts a large number of tourists to enjoy the "natural oxygen bar" each year. In Jingyuetan Scenic Spot there is a 1316m -long and 88m -high aerial cableway and the longest hexes-tube sideway in the world which is 1616m long. A 60000m2 and 36-table golf training court has been completed, which was designed by Mark, a famous designer of US JMP Company. A forest-mountain golf court in accordance with international standard is under construction. A 667,000m2 and 7200m golf court and its supporting guildhall and villa will all be completed by the end of 2005, which will become a ideal resort place for golf fans and tourists. In addition, there are 4 lows-, medium-, high-level and off-road ski runs which cover an area of 50000m2 in the national forest park. You can see soughing pines beat the shore by cableway, vast forest on the sideway, enjoy forest golf through waving clubs, and gallop in snow on the sleigh. People can be full intoxicated in the nature.
The nature endows Jingyuetan with beautiful colors and Jingyuetan adds romantic charm to the nature. With the construction of Jingyue Ice & Snow Tourist Zone, Water Recreational Zone, Safari Park, Science-popularized Educational Zone and Forest Recreation Zone, Jingyuetan National Forest Park has become an ideal place for walk in spring, vacation in summer, sight seeing in autumn and ice and snow sports in winter.
