The Puppet Manchurian Palace Museum is a palace-relic museum built on the relics of the palace of Aisin Gioro Puyi , the last emperor of Qing dynasty, when he served as the puppet emperor of puppet Manchurian regime. Now it has become a national excellent base of patriotic education and national AAAA scenic spot.
The Puppet Manchurian Palace is located at 5, Guangfu Road , Changchun , covering as area of 137000m2 . It is a historical evidence that Japanese Imperialists invaded and occupied Northeast China by military force and pursued Fascist colonial domination. In 1981 it was approved by Jilin Provincial Government to be a provincial-level key historical and cultural sites under government protection. The original appearance of the main building of the core protection area has been recovered through 12 years of recovery and development, and its main scenic spots have opened. The main building includes Qinmin building and Tongde Palace where he handled official business, dealt with political affairs and held ceremonies; Jixi Building as the sleeping room of Puyi and his concubines; Huaiyuan Building where sacrifice was offered to ancestors; Jiale Palace and Qingyan Hall where grand ceremonies were held; and accessory buildings such as Shushu Building, Chinese Food Kitchen, Foreign Food Kitchen, Imperial Garden, Zhixiu House, Changchun House, artificial hills, bomb shelter and swimming pool.

In order to recover, protect and employ the important historical site under government protection, Jilin Provincial and Changchun Municipal governments decided in July 2007 the general goal that the original appearance would be recovery within 3 years. The recovery of the 46000m2 key protection area of the Puppet Manchurian Palace had been finished in August 2004.
The area of exhibition area increased from 12000m2 to 46000m2 . So it has become a place that tourists to Changchun must not miss. The Puppet Manchurian Palace Museum is devoted to construction of a relic-type museum with first-class management, first-class environment, first-class service and first-class benefits, an excellent base of patriotic education and a scenic spot with its own characteristics.
