From January, 2000 to August, 2004, during working in alliance between the City Tourism Bureau and Jingyue development area, the total income of the tourism of the whole city increased from RMB1,800,000,000Yuan in 1999 before the alliance to RMB9,670,000,000Yuan in 2004, 40% increase yearly in the past five years, equaling to the increase of the production total value of the whole city from 2.5% to 6.3%. This put an end to the state that our tourism was in the last place among the fifteen cities at vice-provincial level.
